mom to Ashton/Diaper Rash

Hi

I so know how your feeling. My son was put on Augmentum when he was 6

months old to clear up a cough. His bottom was soooooo bad it made

me cry when I had to change his diaper. What Ashton has is a yeast

infection from the antibiotics. The best thing to use is Lotromin

(sp?) the cream for foot fungus's. You can ask your pharmacist which

is the best for him. People on this list told me this but I took my

son to the Dr first and lo and behold she told me to use the same

thing. On top of that put a thick coating of balmex. Another thing

that helped was the Aveno oatmeal baths. I would put him in that and

then let his bottom air dry for a bit. This really works trust me .

You will see an improvement within 24 hours. As far as what to feed

him Im not sure because I don't know anything about a g-tube. Can he

take anything by mouth?? Baby food banana's and applesauce are great.
