Guest guest
HI My CF doctors and my ped are more concerned with the percentiles on the growth chart. Does your center use this? For instance at 4 months Ethan was in the 25% for weight and the 50% for height. At 6 months he weighed 15 pounds 9 ounces and was in the 30% for weight and he was 28 " so the 50% for height. Today he had his 9 month check up and he weighed 20 pounds and is 29 1/2 " . This put him at the 50%for weight and the 90%for height. As you can see he is moving up on the chart and that is what they look for. When children do not progress that clues them in to failure to thrive. Ethan drinks 8 8oz bottles of formula aday plus baby food. To be honest even though he was born 2 pounds smaller than my other three boys he basically is growing the same if I look back in the other boys baby books. I feel like alot of it is inherited. See what the percentile chart says and if he is moving along than I would not worry so much but thats just my opinion. Good luck and let us know. Mom of 4 boys one with CF.
