Guest guest
Hi everyone! I have a 6 yr old with Asperger's who had a very successful 2 years on the SCD. We are now just doing GFCF to maintain. I am sensitive to gluten as well as my second NT son. Now I am having difficulties with my 6 month old who is so far showing no signs of ASD. Since food intolerances are so rampant in my family, I am very careful with what he gets. He has been strictly breastfed and we are now trying to offer solid foods. Our first attempt was brown rice cereal, ground myself. He threw it up instantly. I assumed it was because of the consistancy. I waited about 4 days and tried again with Gerber's organic rice cereal. He kept it down for about 1 hr before throwing up the entire content of his stomach (not spit up, full on throw up). I tried on 2 other occassions about 1 week in between with the same results. I'm thinking, great, another one of us who can't eat " normal. " So now I am wondering what can I give him? Any suggestions? I worry about him not getting enough vit D and iron now. Thanks for the help! 6, Asperger's (thanks to the SCD) Aidan 4, NT with gluten sensitivity Asa, 6 months, NT
