Guest guest
Heidi--I was just going back through some of the messages and just read the one where you mentioned: The enteric coated enzymes are products like Lipram, Ultrase and Creon. They have a gel coating with a capsule formation with tiny microbeads inside. This type of enzyme doesn't need any antiacids to be taken with it. If you're taking one type or the other, you might try switching to the opposite type to see if that works better for you. I DIDN'T KNOW THIS!! I've been on Viokase for a few yrs. and have terrible acid reflux in the morning when I get up. I was trying to take two TUMS before going to bed to see if that helped. I just this week switched to Lipram! We'll see if that helps at all. I have an appt. next Mon. to see my GE. I take my enzymes faithfully with every meal! I am now finding that I should take smaller meals more often, rather than full ones. And, it seems if I eat read meat, the CP is much worse!
