Guest guest
, Most of my attacks would happen at night. I would be woken up around 2am or so in agony. Then the vomiting would start and wouldn't stop. My attacks were always a 15/10 scale, so I was never able to ride them out at home. Always had to go to the ER, which was weekly. I asked my GI and he had a look on his face to say " you must be strange " ...but never mind what he thinks, it was true. My theory is that at night when your body is laying down and resting, no food or goings on inside happening, the ducts have a chance to close in due to the position of the body, and nothing needing to flow through the ducts as it would during the day. Most of my attacks would also happen when I felt hungry, if they happened during the day. I used to beg for daytime attacks so I wouldn't have to drag my husband and baby out in the middle of the night to take me to hospital.
