Guest guest
I got the wife home this morning after her 9 day hospital stay in which she had a TP and Splenectomy. After stopping by the pharmacy and getting Insulin, syringes and a few other medications, we made it home. She feels fine altho tired and overwhelmed at this point about now having to count carbs, testing blood and injecting herself,,,,,, it's all very confusing on the first day home. One thing is for sure tho, she would do it again in a flash and has no regrets whatsoever. She said the worse pain she had while in hospital was almost as bad as having a pancreatic attack, and that was when the surgeon pulled out those 2 abdominal drainage lines,,,, yikes. We see her regular Endo tomorrow and have a follow up with her surgeon in a week to remove that Nasal feeding tube (it's not connected to any nutritional bag now ), just in her nose in case she needs that type off feeding in the next few days. Hope you all have a pain free day and a good holiday weekend. Doc.
