Guest guest
, You may find that you like working with a Pain Management doctor for your pain meds better than being under the scrutiny and criticism of your doctor's nurse, anyhow. I know that even though my GI was fully supportive of my pain medication needs and readily agreed to increase them whenever I had a problem, his nurse always either messed up the script or questioned me suspiciously whenever there was an increase. Often times she would even wait until the doctor was gone before she found her " mistakes " ....meaning that I would have to do without the change or get another appointment and have to drive all the way back to see the doctor to get it straightened out. So when he said he was sending me to a Pain Management doctor, I was thrilled, once I'd met the doctor and realized that he was in my corner and there purposely to help me with my pain issues. It's been hassle-free ever since. If this is the plan for your continued pain med scripts, it may really work out for the better for you, and you won't have to listen to that woman's preaching anymore!
