I remember doing fine, then going to get a manicure / pedicure, and within an hour of when I arrived, I would be on my cell phone, calling Tull to send an ambulance. This went on for almost a year. Then, at one of the Annual Symposium's on Pancreatitis, one of the participants and guest speaker told her story and included the same scenario with the toxic fumes from manicure and hair salons. If she goes near one today, she'll have an exacerbation of pancreatitis. I haven't been to one since. But, I have short term memory loss, and every few months, I tell Tull I am going to get a pedicure and he looks at me with that hand across the forehead stare. Then I remember. " Oh, yeah. " If anyone hasn't had an actual exacerbation or attack of pancreatitis from these chemicals, you have to admit to the headache. " It just isn't worth it. For me, anyway.
