Guest guest
Hi , I do recognise a possible connection between the bowels and the pancreas, although, obviously, there might be a different explanation. Although my symptoms are not as severe as yours, I do get days when I feel nauseated and weak and have more general pain, all of which symptoms are relieved only once the bowels are emptied. Sometimes that seems to take most of the day and I feel especially under par until it does. I haven't mentioned it to my docs as I saw it as simply part and parcel of the CP package. However, if my symptoms were as severe as yours, I would definitely be pushing my specialist for more help, investigations or whatever. You can't function properly like this. I don't take any medication other than my enzymes (Creon) and my pain-killers (codeine and paracetamol). I did have these symptoms before my diagnosis as well so I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with Creon. Generally, Creon has helped me. Like you, provided I'm generally sensible, I can't find any connection between particular foods and these symptoms. I'm sorry you are having these difficulties. I do hope the docs can sort it soon. You need to be on the best form possible, not struggling with this horrible issue. Good luck with this. With warm wishes, Fliss (UK)
