Pompous Pain Magement Dr's

Sorry to vent guys, but I know this is the place to do it. What is

with these Pain care Dr's? Who told them that they are up there with

God?

I saw my pain Dr today for the 3rd time since early June. I seek my

management locally because that is what Dr. Hawes at MUSC adviced. Dr

Hawes does Endoscopically guided Celiac plexus blocks on me every 3

months or so. Well the first time I saw my current Pain Dr. He

reputed Dr Hawes and Dr. diagnosis and treatment of my problem.

That did not set well with me, but I need to give him a try cuz my

other PM Dr. has taken a leave od absence.

Well when I saw the PM guy today, he does not want to continue

prescribing Narcotics pain meds for me since he does not do the

blocks. Now mind you the only way that he can do the block is thru

the back. The only time I had one done that way it only lasted 3

days !!

I have gotten in touch with Dr. Hawes and also my local GI (who sent

me to MUSC as well as the Pain Dr. What else can I do?

The overall impression I got from the pain Dr was he did not make

enough $$$s off my piddly little office visits and there fore wants

to do the blocks as well. Then he ask me to write a letter to my

congressman about the Drug laws in S.C. Excuse me Dr, what is the

real issue.

Any advice would be appreciated.
