Guest guest
Happy treating Deb ... more for Adam to eat eat eat!!! Have a good night. I wish we were closer for him to go with my almost 13 year old. Dawna > > Dawna > Congratulations! As Jodi said, isn't it something to actually be celebrating when our kids are found to have something with them!! But this is excellent news in regards to growth hormone. You are correct, it is free sailing for you all now as the Ontario government will foot the bill. Wonderful! > Did they tell you what his GH levels were? I remember Adam's were 16...I was told that was smack tab in the middle range of normal. Our numbers seem to be different up here than in the US. > Well I better run, I had decided Adam was too old for trick or treating this year. Yes, size wise, he could scam it, but I want him to " do " as his age peers would. His father has been a huge stubborn old kook for years now purporting that he should always be " age appropriate " (to the point he took him out of a car seat YEARS AND YEARS before he should have; much to my anger). > So his father got wind of my decision to say no more Halloween and what did he do all weekend when Adam was there?? Drill it into his head that he is small enough he can go out again. > Only because I cut it out, and said it.....his father loves to do the exact opposite to me every chance he can get. > > So.....as I was saying I have to run, I have to take Adam out trick or treating (oh the kicker?? when I got divorced 9 years ago my X husband added into the custody agreement that he BE ALLOWED to take the kids trick or treating every year. As if I would argue with that!!! I have stayed home for the past 9 Halloweens!!! LOL No arguments here. But this year??? NO he makes sure he gets Adam all riled up that he HAS TO go trick or treating and then he says he can't 'escort' him this year, however his father thinks he is old enough to go alone!!! I don't think so!!!! They always say if not going with a parent, go with a friend.....he hasn't any friends around here to go with, so forget it, I am going now. I have already perked the coffee so I better go and get his royal highness ready for trick or treating!!!!) > > Deb > > More good news > > > More relief! Guest guest
Deb, Around here, high school kids go trick or treating. That means they are up to at least 18 years old. It's almost 6:30 now and they have not even begun to start their rounds yet. They will be here around 8pm. But we turn off the lights at 8:30, so anyone who has not made it here by then is out of luck. Max is going, by the way. He just wants to go up and down our street. It's a quiet street with few cars, so I am not worried about him. Now if he would only EAT the stuff he gets. Actually, I'm wrong. He is eating a bit too much lately. I think it's the Risperdal. And the doctor increased it - doubled it - last week. Guess I better keep an eye on the candy. Someone has to do it. Jodi Z
Guest guest
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! I'm out here with the laptop - waiting for the kids. Someone just drove up (it's a long walk down all our driveways!) Talk to you soon! - H > > > > Dawna > > Congratulations! Guest guest
Jodi - I just bought these M & Ms with peanut butter in them (not peanuts) and Ian loves them. Hey - the protein should help! Hope Max enjoys the evening! - H > > Deb, > > Around here, high school kids go trick or treating. That means they > are up to at least 18 years old. Guest guest
You are kidding! I hate when the big kids come around. A lot of them don't even bother getting dressed up. I buy 2 kinds of candy. Yummy chocolate bars for the kids under 10 and the older ones get the cheap stuff (suckers, no not the kids but real suckers, you know lollipops?? LOL) This was a real milestone night for me to realize it was my last time. I had always done it when they were little. So I started trick or treating 16 years ago as a mom (no wait 15 years I wouldn't have taken Colette that first year) and then 9 years ago took over and now the last year, I had to do it again. It's like book ends on motherhood!! sniff sniff!!! Ah I love dishing out and seeing the little ones. OH well I am getting old! As for the eating? Adam rarely eats it either. I can't tell you the bowls of candy we still have around in July. In fact Colette was never that big on it either. Funny eh? Guest guest
Yeh Dawna that would have worked. Two 13 year olds out together. He was fine actually, it was just ME who got flipped that I couldn't find him, he knew where HE was the whole time!! LOL Only my Adam! I just had this fear that I would have to call the police and as they drove up the driveway he would come sauntering along from out under a bush somewhere and say " hi mom why are the police here? " UGH Deb More good news > > > More relief! We finally got an appointment with the new ped!!!!!
