Guest guest
Autumn came home tuesday from the hospital and didn't get better. She came back to hospital yesterday and just got a ng ube to go home on feeds until her g-tube on nov 7...we tried to up datge of surgery but surgeon was out of town and he is the only one here who does it the new laproscopy (wrong spelling) way. Anyways, she is also on iv fluids and now ng and we are trying to get her to handle it..she throws up from the tube in her throat. She looks really bad and we are trying to get her health back. This is all the result of a simple cold, I still can't believeit. it is surreal. mom to Autumn RSS and 3 siblings
Guest guest
, I am sorry to hear that Autumn is having such a terrible time. This is such an awful time of year. Our kids are lucky if they aren't sick. I actually thought was going to get by with missing his brothers Tracheitis, but no such luck. He is hit hard and I even had to take him to the doctor today. He had a difficult time last night with coughing so hard and it caused him to have some breathing distress. I was so scared, but I finally got him settled down. I really hope Autumn gets better soon and the G tube surgery is uneventful. You will be so relieved once she has it. It is hard to accept at first, and a little scary, but it will be okay. Hopefully it will help her out when she is sick when she doesn't feel like eating. Keep us updated, Jodi R. > > Autumn came home tuesday from the hospital and didn't get better. Guest guest
, I don't understand.... Is Autumn at home or in the hospital? If she is home, she is also on IV? I understand about the ng tube. I hope you are leaving it in all the time. Putting it in and taking it out really causes a lot of irritation and discomfort. We used to leave Max's in for days at a time. It was so much easier on him - and me since I was the one to place it each time. Oh, I hated doing that more than anything. Guest guest
She is still in the hospital. they just took out the iv and we hopefully will go home tomorrow. We are leaving the tube in. She throws up too much wen it first goes in for a few hours and again when it comes out so we decided just to keep it in. She is a little used to it today and doing well on feeds. She has gagged and thrown up some from it irritating her today, but not as much as at first. > > , > > I don't understand.... Is Autumn at home or in the hospital? If she > is home, she is also on IV? Guest guest
Hi , Wow, you are a trooper. This experience sounds so trying. We are hoping this is over for you very soon. I can't imagine, I haven't experienced hospital stays or anything. Thinking of you, and dear Autumn. anderkat3 wrote: She is still in the hospital. they just took out the iv and we hopefully will go home tomorrow. We are leaving the tube in.
