hey h and sheldon,

he has had 2 cortisone shots already and they have done nothing. he

has been in physical therapy since june (going into the 5th month).

they said he has 2 options do nothing and wait for the disc to disolve

(which can take up to a year) or have the surgery to remove the disc

and then have the rehab. my husband is tired of being home and doing

nothing, he wants to get back to work so he is thinking of having the

surgery with the hope that he will get back to work sooner. i told him

it is up to him. either way the dr said the type of work that he does

is no good for his back to begin with and wouldnt recommend him doing

it after. first they are doing a repeat MRI anyway to see if the disc

has disolved already, if it has they cant do anything anyway because it

is the scar tissue that is causing the pain.

Hey Jodie - well based on your response - I hope I hadn't upset you

by my comments. I only wish the best for you. I'm so used to your

perky exclamation marks. I hope you are doing okay and things

aren't getting you down - you have so much going on - HUGS.

As far as your dh is concerned - what a frustrating situation to be

in - and being at home certainly makes it even more difficult since

he can't be out there doing what he knows best. I've said enough.

Know that if I had a magic wand - I would definately not just use it

on you - but, I would wrap it up in a big beautiful bow and give it

to you - Federal Express! Give your husband a hug for me. I hope

that this next MRI will give you some direction.

Ba ha ha

I am sitting at my night school course right now. In fact the

professor is right beside me!! ha ha! This is supposed to be a work

night on our big project so I brought the school lap top in, I had no

idea that I can NOT save to the drive AT ALL (makes sense, its for

everyone to use)........so I luckily can connect to the internet and

therefore can save my work to my school files. However, I just

decided to take a break and log on to the site. Ba ha ha....you hear

the rings?/

We need to laugh again, you were right we are missing that, we all

have so much tension, we need to blow it off. I better go, I am now

typing fast (since I know what I want to say) and she's going to clue

in I am not " doing my business' anymore.

LOL

time for a smoke break anyway!!
