Guest guest
We are getting my daughter's DOC band on Friday? Does anyone have any tips on cleaning the band? What products work best? When my son was banded (in 2005) we just used rubbing alochol and a stiff brush. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
Guest guest
Best thing (as you will also be advised) is good ol’ rubbing alcohol on a cloth. I also dip a (new) toothbrush in the alcohol and scrub the more “sweaty,” spots around the front and side burn areas. Dylan (my son) is just doing wonderfully with his band, we are on week 2! Guest guest
I've found that rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush or cloth doesn't always get rid of the stinky smell. So per the instructions we received the first week, after scrubbing vigorously, we let the band sit in the sun for a bit while it dries. This miraculously gets the smell out!
