Guest guest
MissyAnne, If is spilling ketones in the morning, even at just a trace, then you may have to consider upping his pump feedings at night. Wait - does he get pump feedings at night? If not, then you will have to start. Any ketones at all are not good. If he gets even a little cold it could put him in the hospital because he has nothing to fall back on, as you mentioned. Jodi Z
Guest guest
I wish I had a good answer for you. I'm learning lot's myself. I've had reactive hypoglycemia all my life - I used to faint when I was younger. But, sometimes its hard to gauge where you child is at. As you have probably read - however, ketones are a serious matter. And, I'm sure someone here will hopefully pipe in and give you some great deteail about the seriousness of ketones in the urine. All I know is that ketones are not good and whenever I see them - I plan on calling the doc (especially considering what we just went through). I haven't helped much here - but, maybe we can " learn together " . Best of luck - H I > > Hi everyone! > Quick question?
