Guest guest
Hi Everyone, We are wanting to try the Peptamen Jr, and were wondering if this is more so used with tube feedings, or do kids generally accept this as a drink? I know it comes in vanilla, but do kids like it? Thanks! --------------------------------- Yahoo! FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click. Guest guest
Autumn takes peptamen jr and has always liked it (before being sick! ). We use the vanilla flavor. She handles it much better than pediasure which seems to upset her stomach. > > Hi Everyone, > We are wanting to try the Peptamen Jr, and were wondering if this is more so used with tube feedings, or do kids generally accept this as a drink? Guest guest
Thank you to and H! I hadn't heard of the Nutren Jr. I looked both of them up on-line, and the Nutren costs 3x's less! For now it's not covered by ins., so I'll start with that, they seem to be equally sound, when it comes to being broken down, and not staying in the stomach as long as the store bought nutr. suppl. drinks. Which is what I needed, these drinks she has now fill her up too much for too long. Thanks! advocate22003 wrote: - never had it. Guest guest
- I'm still on a rampage to get insurance to cover the Nutren. When I do (won't say if <grin>) I'll let you know! - H > > > > Hi Everyone, > > We are wanting to try the Peptamen Jr, and were wondering if > this is more so used with tube feedings, or do kids generally accept > this as a drink? Guest guest
, I'm not sure about the Peptamen Jr., however my son drinks and gets through the g-tube a formula called " Resource " its a boxed drink, just like a juice box and it comes in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry! My kids love it! It has 237 calories and 7.1 g of protein? Good luck! Guest guest
Coby was on Peptamen Jr for about a year and a half. I had to order it thru Wal-Mart or CVS drugstore. It was very expensive, but W.I.C. and Medicaid covered it. He loved it. I bought the vanilla and then added chocolate or strawberry syrup to it. However, once he started sneaking drinks of his sisters' regular milk, he wanted it instead of the formula. At that point we switched to whole milk and carnation instant breakfast. It is also 30 cal/ounce, but doesn't digest as fast. It is also available in a few different flavors. Carlee and Coby each got a box drink of resource last week at the doc's office, one chocolate and one strawberry, and they both liked it. Even after being on milk for 2 yrs. le, mom to: Shye 11, Brock 9, Coby (rss) & Carlee 3 yr old twins
Guest guest
Reah - Nutren can be ordered through Nestle - here is their website - you need to order through the home delivery system. I would like to say however - that you need to check with your physician first - in my opinion- before trying anything new!
