No, I'm not pregnant <G>. Actually, quite the opposite....based on several

symtoms and

blood test results, the gyno thinks I'm going through pre-menopause. And I'm

only 39. Of

course, like every other RSS person out there, my first thought was to blame it

on the RSS.

but there's no studies, no information, etc., so who knows for sure if it's

RSS-related

(along with the other gynocological stuff that some of the RSS ladies have

reported) or I'm

just " lucky " (and since I'm sure someone will ask....my mother went through

menopause in

her mid-40's, so I'm still a few years earlier than her).

I don't remember all of the specifics, but they tested my blood last year and my

FSH

(Follicle Secreting Hormone...if I remember my biology correctly, I think that's

what tells

the egg to come out of the ovary every month) level was 17.4. " Normal " is 17.

" Normal "

FSH levels increase when you're going through pre-menopause and this year mine

is 21.6

When you have gone through menopause (haven't had a period in one year),

" normal " is

then 24. Since my bloodwork looks like that's the direction I'm going, my

symptoms look

like that's the direction I'm going (periods can be 2 weeks to a month late,

I've had 2 or 3

hot flashes, and a few other things), we're seriously thinking that this is a

situation of pre-

menopause.

So that's me. Any of y'all who have RSS kids who are girls...might want to keep

it in mind.

Oh...and hot flashes feel WEIRD! <G>
