Hi everyone!

Quick question? I'm new to all of this RSS stuff, and even though I

thought I was pretty informed on Hypoglysemia, I feel I'm not now. I

have had many hypo spells in my life, even hospitalized. So when my

son started having signs at age 3, I began testing his

bgl. It was then that I was able to tell his Dr. that his levels

were ranging from 41 to 220. His edocrin. said that his basically

didn't have any " reserve " therefore his body couldn't properly

regulate his sugar. However dismissed us after that point. THis was

a contributing factor to having the g-tube put in last year, and I

can tell a difference, for sure.

Recently I have been hearing you guys talk about ketones? So I went

and got some of the strips to check Chris' urine. He isn't currently

sick or anything, but he is showing a trace of ketone. What does

this mean? Does this mean that he is buring his fat? becaruse he

dosen't have any to spare! hahaha Any info that can be passed my way

would be much appreciated!

Also what is the deal with the cornstarch?

I also have a 2.5 year old that is non RSS and is thriving, however

is showing classic signs of hypo as well? However his levels seem to

be at a different range, higher? so what are your suggestions? My

experience has been that either your doctor buys into Hypo or

doesn't? and I'm not feeling the " love " from our doc's here! It's

pretty hard to push high caloric foods that are good for hypo.

especcially with a picky, texture challenged kid!

Thanks for listening!

us so I wwent with this! I'm the one in California!)
