Understanding gut flora results

Hi. I'm new to the group and waiting on some testing results before I begin the

SCD but learning as much about it as I can.

I was diagnosed celiac 4 years ago and have been gluten free since then but the

gut problems have never resolved - chronic D being amongst them.

I just had a colonoscopy this week and waiting on the biopsy results but in the

meantime my gut flora results came back and the only " good " bacteria they found

were E coli. There was no growth of Lactobacillus or bifidobacteria. Does this

suggest that the SCD would be a good thing for me to do? Is it that " bad " bugs

are overriding the good ones? What questions and test should I be talking to my

doctor about?

Hope this is OK to be asking this here. Thanks for being here!

Ruth
