Update on Rowan- 21 months with DOC band

My son, Rowan, age 21 months on September 8th, received his DOC band from CT in

Oakbrook, IL this week. He is adjusting a little more each day to his band. I

did put a metal barrett on the velcro strap on the side so he cannot unvelcro

the strap. This has been working out well despite how irritated he gets from

not being able to pull it off. He perspires quite a bit even though it has been

pretty cool here lately. I notice lots of perspiration when he awakes in the

morning. I will feel so much better when I notice the first change in his head

shape, even if it is slight in his band. I will keep everyone updated on his

improvements. He started with 8 mm asymmetry. He will be going to CT every 2

weeks. Thanks to everyone who gave me great advice and shared with me their

encouraging stories they had with their children with the band.
