Guest guest
They are counting the natural sugar in the nuts in the nutritional information label. What you don't want is ADDED sugar. If there are no additives to the product or the nuts, you are OK. We can't avoid the natural sugars in some foods- like fruits, nuts, vegetables. I have one question and we already went over this I remember , the nut butters I bought one at sprouts and its > MaraNatha Natural creamy and roasted almond butter , no salt added, > INgreds: Dry Roasted Almonds then in nutrition side its like Carbs 6g, fiber 4g, fat 16g, and (sugar 2g) why would it list sugar? thats what I worry about. I have worked too hard the last 6 wks to mess up my husband now. >
Guest guest
Sprouts rocks! I don't have a Whole Foods, so Sprouts takes it place for me. Keep an eye out for ground bison, they get it in occasionally. Also, they have good specials on grass-fed ground beef. I recently bought some ground pork to make sausage with (the Eat Well Feel Well cookbook has a fantastic sausage recipe). I also get wild caught salmon when it's on special. And I LOVE that they always have turkey available. Sprouts also carries the Just Juice line. Guest guest
I believe that with the MaraNatha nut butter brands that I've looked at, they say "may contain soy", so I remember being at the store and not buying that brand. You may want to check that on the bottom of the label too. Yes, Holly, oh by the way my little girl's name is Holley! I loved the shopping trip there today. Guest guest
It seems there aren't a lot of us Holly/Holley's in the world ;-). My dad says I was named after car parts. Holley Carburetors and Hurst Shifters. He put stickers from both companies on my crib, and jokes that my middle name was almost Hooker for Hooker Headers. Not nice! But back to SCD, the Knudsen's " Just Juice " line is legal. This includes: Just Black Cherry Just Blueberry Just Cranberry Just Pomegranate Organic Just Concord Grape Organic Just Tart Cherry Some of these are pretty expensive, so keep an eye out for sales and stock up. There was a manager's special the beginning of summer on Just Pomegranate (I like to make it into jello), so I bought several bottles. I'm on the last one now, but I'm not paying over $7 for a bottle of juice. Hopefully there will be another sale soon :-). Holly Crohn' SCD 12/01/08 > > > > Sprouts rocks!
