Re: cipro if not sure it's infection??

I think it would be hard to tell for sure. Even blood work is not absolute.

Maybe the doctor wants to start with an antibiotic first, because if it was an

infection, steroids alone may make and infection worse.

You certainly have the right to ask the doctor about this though. Blood work and

stool cultures may give a clue, but it is hard to have absolute proof.
