Guest guest
does this give anyone any idea of bacterial vs flare etc - it's like my intestines are happier once i get eating etc BUT that sometimes gets the next D coming if it's early in the day dinner didn't do that (yet)lol thanks eileen
Guest guest
Eating stimulates the gastro-colic reflex. Of course you have to have something in there for it to come out, and in the first part of the day you empty out what has been sitting there all night when presumably you have not been eating and stimulating the signal to " go " . By dinner, you have probably emptied out much of it, so you don't go or go as much. I don't think this has anything to do with what is causing it- bacteria or flare-just the way the system works. Guest guest
I don't think it's a bacterial thing either. I have Crohn's and have heard it's common to have more D and frequency in the morning. I am also a living example of this -Joanna SCD 9/2009, Crohn's 1992, 20mg Prednisone > I don't think this has anything to do with what is causing it- bacteria or flare-just the way the system works. > > PJ
Guest guest
I dont have CD but IBS and I am the same way. I have found my stomach settles down a lot more if I have an egg for breakfast. I don't know if it's because it's protein or just a little heavier food than fruit or yogurt but I just need my egg every morning!MarlaSent: Wednesday, September 01, 2010 5:39 PMTo: BTVC-SCD Subject: Re: D worse in early part of day I don't think it's a bacterial thing either. Guest guest
now scd says no eggs with D - so it occured to me that there's egg whites in the cheesecake i make and i was having tons just to keep eating intro due to D- so today is day 1 without egg - so we'll see blood work didn't show bacteria but i know it can miss it - so now to decide whether to see if it will stop (been 1 week) or if i actually need to take something??? eileen > > > I don't think this has anything to do with what is causing it- bacteria or flare-just the way the system works. > > > > PJ >
Guest guest
Just FYI, it is usually the egg white that people have a problem with. Just the yolk is better tolerated. You may want to try and make your cheesecake with just the yolks (I have, and it comes out great). Also duck eggs are better tolerated than chicken eggs. So you have a few options before cutting eggs out from your diet. Suneeti (Crohns, SCD 2000)

Guest guest
I also have IBS and whether I have D or not, I go more earlier in the day. I sort of figure eventually I just am done. Even on a D day, it's usually over by mid or late afternoon.
Guest guest
interesting - seems to be following that pattern still -i think maybe starting an hcl with new enzymes in it 3/day may have caused this flare- just need to come out of it!! day 10 :-( thanks eileen > > I also have IBS and whether I have D or not, I go more earlier in the > day.
