Guest guest
Yes! It is possible to be SGA and not RSS. In fact, I would say that most of the children that Dr H feels are not RSS, she puts into the category of SGA. One thing I should stress is that SGA children can suffer from many of the same problems as RSS children. Therefore, the treatment of an SGA child is usually the SAME as the treatment for an RSS/SGA child. Just didn't want you to think that you were in the wrong place! Several of the parents here have children that are considered SGA and not RSS. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Thank you. I most definately did not feel like I was in the wrong place. Haha. Believe me. This has been the most helpful and heart easing place in the world for me right now! Brockton had his appt. with his Continuing Care Clinic from the NICU yesterday and they said that although he is 16 mo. old actual age, he is only 13 1/2 mo. old corrected age and that he is at an 11-12 mo. old level developmentally! I thought that was GREAT NEWS! The only thing I am REALLY worried about is that he has never developed the protective instinct that most children have when they fall. He just FALLS. Like a tree. Timber. He doesn't even attempt to catch himself. Scares me to death. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks again. Jeanie pcpets wrote: Yes! It is possible to be SGA and not RSS.
