California Parents: Dr. Geller OR Dr. Geffner: ANy recommendations?

Hi,

....trying to find a good pediatric endocrinologist in the general Los

Angeles area for my daughter. My name is Margueritte and my

daughter's name is Tia(age 8). I was given the name Dr. Mitch

Geffner. I've been working with my daughter's pediatrician, who

finally ran some tests that point to the possiblity of precocious

puberty. The pediatrician suggested Dr. Geller of Pacific

Palisades and Dr. Naomi Neufeld. I remembered the reccomendation of

Dr. Geffner at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Before I call Dr.

Geller (I 'm not calling Dr. Neufeld),

I would like to know if anyone you know has heard of him and would

reccomend this doctor. If he does not come reccomended, I will just

have to insist on calling Dr. Geffner at CHLA. please pass on this

letter if it may help.

Hi Margueritte,

Dr. Mitch Geffner is my daughter's endocrinologist.

belle is 7, and I am sniffing under her arms everyday.

He is fine. Absolutely no complaints, and my daughter likes him.

His expertise lies with 's Syndrome, not RSS,. However,

he has been a speaker at the MAGIC convention and is familiar

with Dr. Harbison and her protocol.

I called in Nov. for an appointment and am scheduled for one in

February. He no longer sees patients at his Westside satellite

office so is very booked at CHLA.

I don't know anything about Dr. Geller, sorry. His name is

familiar. I believe he was in practice with a previous endo. we

used that knew very little about RSS. But perhaps in your

daughter's case there was a reason he was recommended.
