I am not sure how Hangar bands work, but with DOC bands they actually shave down

the foam gradually over time to allow for growth. My son's band moves when he is

laying down on the ground and when he moves side to side. You should address

your concerns with the orthotist tomorrow just to be sure. good luck!

orthotist said the front of the helmet should fit right above the browline but

when she lies down it seems to move more upwards. Is that normal since its

supposed to be a bit loose fitting in the beginning? Also I do notice that

inside the helmet there is one part where the foam is not smooth it almost looks

like its wearing away-can this be fixed?

Or daughter ahs a Hanger helmet. Our orthosist said that when you tip your baby

back into the helmet (like when lying down), it should go into the correct

position. If it seems like it's not doing what they described it should, give

them a call. Regarding the foam not being smooth, did your orthosist shave down

any areas to thin it out where the head is already round? Sometimes the

pressure points on the round side need some shaving down to prevent skin

breakdown. Hope that helps.
