Guest guest
Chrissy! That's awesome info and I so much appreciate your posting this to all of us. I was just having a conversation with JR today about Ian's NG tube and that it was clogging a bit with the Nutren. She told me to flush with water every feed (even though I was only instructed to do the morning feed) - I'm going to try the Ginger Ale. I'm sure it would work for the NG tube just as well as the G- tubes. Thanks again. - H > > Hey to all those parents who's children have feeding tubes, today we went to > see Maddy's surgeon. Guest guest
Chrissy, Yep, you're right. I have heard of doing that with tubes. Does Maddy have the J tube that hangs out of her belly or does she have the GJ Mic-Key button? I hated when had the long one that hung from his belly. It was such a pain. Now he has the combo button and it is sooooo much better. Plus, we put his medicines into his G tube. They have always told me not to put medicine into the J part. but, if you have the long tube that hangs out, I don't know what you are supposed to do. I can't remember. Does that have a port that goes into the stomach, too? Ugh, it has been too long! ) I hope Maddy is doing well. I am planning on going over to read the site here in a few minutes.
