Maybe not too brave -- mostly CHEAP! I did have some doubts right

before hand, but the doc told me she was sure it would be fine. I took a pretty

good dose of Xanax an hour before the procedure, so I was pretty mellow. I

took my glasses off -- I'm blind as a bat, so I couldn't see anything (I was

draped too). It was cold as hell that day in her office so she had me keep my

jeans on -- just pulled them down below my hips and my socks and shoes. They

had a blanket draped around my shoulders and over my arms and then tucked

underneath me. I had to lie with my hands under my butt to make sure that I

didn't

inadvertently move my hands up and touch the sterile field. The worst part

was the injections to numb the area -- I did a fair amount of cussing during

that. It was pretty funny -- I'd cuss, and the doctor would say, " I'm sorry, "

but then she'd just move right on to the next spot. On a funny, but probably

gross note -- the use of the cautery scalpel makes a very " interesting " smell.

It's actually the smell of what's happening -- cooking meat. It smelled like

I was at a barbecue -- only sort of an unidentifiable thing cooking! I know

-- too much information!
