Some people react to peanut butter in the early stages.

Lactaid? What were you using lactaid for?

Hi,

It is really important not to cheat on SCD. Even a small bite for you can feed a

gazillion bacteria ( they don't need much ).Peanuts are very advanced and should

be one of the last things you add to your diet.

There is a gut-brain connection and if my gut is " off " then I also feel bad and

have difficulty sleeping.

I think you will feel better if you stay strictly on SCD. Go back to intro/stage

1 easy to tolerate foods for a few days until things settle down.

I was using lactaid for my tea.

That's the one thing I miss most on scd and I read that Elaine had

approved it for one person.

Lactaid is the lactase enzyme.

Do you mean you were using lactose hydrolyzed milk in your tea?

THAT is not SCD legal. You can use whole cream, without any additives,

which has been treated with lactase, shaken, and allowed to rest in the

refrigerator for at least 24 hours, with a couple of additional shakings.

You CANNOT use commercial " lactose-free " milk.
