My doctors in New orleans are telling me that my esophagus is in really bad shape, I have achalasia in my esophagus, is really blocked in the lower part and dilated in the upper part.

They told me that if they cant fix it i will not have a transplant.

But the doctors in Houston told me that they would just put me a feeding tube for three months after the transplant and I should be fine.

I had the barium swallow test and came out really bad.

Did you have esophagus involvement too?

Any comments?

Yeah when I was discharged they said I can go everywhere lie normal. They suggested staying away from places like Chuck e cheeses but the mall, movies, etc are fine. I did wear a mask though to be safe. They want me to walk as much as possibe....live a normal happy life !

I had all of those tests too. They showed the valve (dont know what its called) doesnt close when I eat and I have acid reflux. But all within norma limits. All hopefully controlled with meds. They recommended no surgery to fix valve at this time.
