My big questions is this: Are we more prone to big problems like liver

cancer because of the gastric bypass? Or any other major liver issues for

If we are prone to liver problems, and I said IF, it is because of our morbid

obesity pre op. Obese people often have very fatty liver and develop

Chirossis (sp) from it. I also have elevated liver enzymes. My skinny sister

is now

dying from liver cancer and my alcoholic father died from chirossis.

Slightly elevated liver enzymes are pretty common for us. I was able

to bring mine into normal ranges with milk thistle.
