Guest guest
Hi Irene, I'm sorry you've had a tough couple of days recently. It can be really hard when a bunch of different things pile on all at once. I hope that you'll be feeling better soon. I'm glad you communicated your problems with your doctor. Could you try a saline spray intermittently with the other spray just to keep everything in your nasal airways loosened up for easier breathing? I don't know what to suggest about the fluid accumulation except for trying to keep your head upright, which is pretty obvious and you are already probably doing that! I hope all these discomforts pass quickly. I'll bet you'll feel at least a little bit better tomorrow, after hopefully getting a much better sleep tonight. Rest can do wonders for both your physical health and healing but it also can have an amazing affect on your mental outlook and feelings. Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing! Feel better soon! Take care, Katja > Hi Everyone, > > This is Irene (Vancouver) again. > > Today, I don't feel too good because I could feel quite a bit of fluid > trapped under my face. > > Yesterday, I had some unexplaned muscle pain on my arms and at my back. > The muscle pain didn't go away until 2am. > > My nose was quite stuffy last night. Guest guest
Irene, I hope you get feeling better. However, did you tell the doctor about your additional back and arm pain? I ask because at 6 weeks postop I began to have not only jaw pain, but neck and back pain. I called the OS, they got me right in, did x-rays, and found a new fracture. In the postop papers my OS instructed me if I had unexplained neck or back pain to call them. I'm sure your pain is normal, but I thought I would give you the heads up after my experience. Hope all heals and that you start feeling more comfortable. Guest guest
Hi Connie, Sorry you are not feeling well. Like the others, I am glad you contacted your OS quickly, and will be getting something to help you with the breathing. That should make you more comfortable. Please let us know how you are doing now too. Don't worry about posting frequently post op! That is one of the best support times of this board! There are a lot of vets here who can reassure you and share experiences. So post away! Guest guest
Hi Connie, Today is my Day 7 post-op and I feel much better now. I did tell the surgeon's assistant in the office that I had muscle pain. She didn't ask me to rush into the office cuz the muscle pain had already gone. She suggested me a nasal spray and it works. So, I guess Day 6 was the worst day in the 1st week for me after the surgery. Guest guest
Irene, I hope you are feeling better. Just think, you are on your way to recovery and the rest of us are jealous. I wish I could offer some advise, but since I don't even have the braces yet I really have no idea how to help. ~Rene > Hi Everyone, > > This is Irene (Vancouver) again. > > Today, I don't feel too good because I could feel quite a bit of fluid > trapped under my face. > > Yesterday, I had some unexplaned muscle pain on my arms and at my back. > The muscle pain didn't go away until 2am. > > My nose was quite stuffy last night.
