granulation tissue & g-tubes

Hi & other moms with kids with new g-tubes,

I know some of you are having problems with granulation tissue. I

just wanted to let you know that it gets much easier with the g-tube

after awhile. has had his g-tube for almost 12 years now.

He did have problems with granulation tissue when he first got the

tube. I can't remember the last time we dealt with this, but it has

probably been 9 or 10 years ago, so I hope this is comforting. We

used to use Silvadene around his g-tube when this happened. It is a

burn cream, but it did the trick.
