" I can't speak for all, but my cousin and I had this conversation sometime back It was after I had lost 150 lbs...and looked normal. She saw my picture and ranted and raved about it..and said how is your hubby going to keep his hands off you NOW? I was deeply offended by her comment...and told her so. I asked her what ever made her think that just because I am thin, I am more attractive to my life mate than I was before? It made NO difference to him. Jacque, in my marital relationship, my losing weight DID make all the difference in the world, and I am now dealing with the emotional aspects of that. Unfortunately for me, my DH was not supportive of me, pretty much in any area, and certainly no more in the area of Gastric Bypass... I am very glad that your husband loves you unconditionally; I *do* think that is wonderful, and the way it is SUPPOSED to be! Congratulations to you for finding and keeping such a wonderful man! As for me, I am dealing with intimacy issues, really just in my self, as I do not see the need to for counseling at this time. If I am not able to get over the past, and deal with today, then I will seek counseling from a psychologist that I trust...and I only trust this ONE!! I really don't have anyone to talk to about this, as I do not know of others further out than myself who have had to deal with this issue. I'm doing OK, just weighing all the facts/issues/emotions, and having to make decisions NOT based just on my feelings.
