Guest guest
Hello to everyone. I feel like I know many of you already. I have been reading your posts and taking notes for several months now. My daughter is having a multi-segmental LeForte 1 Osteotomy with bone grafting and bi-lateral Sagittal Osteotomies on October 5th in Santa Barbara. We live in colorado so it will be a long way from home for us. Her name is Breanna and she is 24 years old. She has had 30 brain surgeries and a neck fusion in the last 9 years. We are hoping this is her last surgery. I wanted to send this post just in case we have more questions after the surgery next week. Thanks to all of you for your great information and support to all
Guest guest
Hi , Breanna and your whole family have already been through so much that my heart goes out to each of you. And it sounds like you have accomplished a lot and are on the downhill side of a very long and difficult journery. I am glad that you have come so far and can see the end of the necessary hardships. I am preop, so cannot really support you with info for the recovery, but I can send good thoughts and prayers on Wednesday for you and your daughter. Have a safe trip and best wishes to you and Breanna. Will watch for your posts. Please let us know how she progresses. Big hugs, Fran > Hello to everyone. I feel like I know many of you already. Guest guest
Hi Jeannie, I am preop, but I am 52 years old. I am also in process for upper and lower surgery. I don't have any experiential info for you, but I did want to welcome you to the board. It is extremely supportive here and there is a LOT of information that you can't find anywhere else - even at the OD office! Will watch for the replies here myself. I am glad you found the board in advance of your surgery too. I think the info you get here will be extremely helpful to you.
