I have dumped where I get almost like hot flashes, my heart races, I get dizzy - but I have NEVER dumped where I get diarreah or throw up. I realized it was dumping when it happened after Thanksgiving, my first year out & I ate too many carbs without realizing it. ilene post op - sept 7, 2001 lap rny dr. wayne english - florida medical center 289 /138 http://hometown.aol.com/ineedanadvil/wls.html
Guest guest
Helene, Welcome to the Group. Congratulations on the weight loss as well. As for your nieces problem, what was going on just prior to the attacks? Had she eaten a lot of carbs? Is she of the age of menopause or premenopause? Guest guest
I'm a little over a year out and that's exactly how I feel when my blood sugar drops. It really screws with my vision, sometimes I lose all color or get tunnel vision -everything just goes wonky. Guest guest
I must say that other than the blood pressure (which could be rising because she is nervous/scared) it sounds like what happens when my blood sugar bottoms out. I get that hot flash and then the dizzy cloudy feeling.....I have given up all but 20 - 30 gms of good carbs (veggie...) per day due to this... Guest guest
That is kind of why I wondered if she was eating just prior to these episodes.
