Hi Guy_cd,

What is the photo album name of the person who has the same situation

as yourself? Have you been to some Orthodontic (OD) consults yet?

Even though you do not have dental problems at this point, your

situation can be evaluated and reviewed to see if you would be a good

candidate for the surgery. I went to three different consults myself,

to get a better idea of the need/outcome. And you may be in a

situation where even though you do not have obvious medical or chewing

problmes now, the fact that you have a condition that is not alligned

weell can present problems in the future for some of us. That is my

case. I didn't have this dealt with at a younger age, and now I am 52

and dealing with the original jaw problem and complex problems with my

teeth and choking as well.

For many of us, it is a condition that even our insurance recognizes

as a medical necessity. Going to those consults can give you an idea

if you could qualify for that assistance as well.

You are doing great though, to find someone who has a similar " before "

as you do, and then to see their outcome. It lets you see what is

possible. But first, it is good to know what a professional opinion

is to your need. In my area, local OD consults are free. So it is

painless in the pocket too. My dentist recommended the OD in my area

to do the consults with. I hope this helps!
