Hmm... I have nothing for this one, except to say I would also be upset.

like we've seen a change, the orthotist took hand measurements yesterday

indicating that his head grew 2-3 mm, but the plagio # is still at 8... Is that

possible? I feel like if the head grows, it should be growing the right

direction, am I wrong? I'm trying to be OK with possible human error in

measuring, but after 4 weeks I really expected to see some significant change in

the #. Granted, he's " mild, " but for a mom who's dying to get this thing off of

my baby's head, not seeing a number go down is really discouraging... How can I

tell if this contraption is really working the way it's supposed to when there's

no progression?

I always recommend taking your own photos to track progress. Take them in the

bath if he has hair, and take them every week or two. That makes it easier to

see changes. I found looking from the top down is best, but it depends on your

baby's head shape. I hope you are seeing progress but not sure how your ortho is

not. Of course it is possible but should be the case if the band is fitting well

and he is growing. Does your ortho think the fit is good? Sounds like he doesn't

have a starscanner?

I really do need to take some pictures to compare on a weekly basis. After all

of this, I'm starting to wonder now if the change that I " saw " was all in my

head. In any case, I'm trying not to take a hand measurement too seriously and

chalk lack of improvement up to the fact that 2-3mm growth in 4 weeks really

isn't much. My son is 7 months old (someone asked that earlier) so he's got to

go through a growth spurt sometime soon...I just hope I haven't missed out on a

big one before we banded. We'll get it scanned in two weeks so hopefully that

will show more improvement. Fingers crossed.
