No, but with a caveat -- I had mine removed in 1980, directly after losing

nearly 100 pounds on never-say-diet. Gallbladder problems

are frequently the result of a large weight loss, not necessarily the result

of the RNY.

My doctor routinely removes the gall bladder and the appendix, unless you

specifically ask him not to.

Well, there you have it for security. <G> A pre-op, unable to post, yet

Didn't change my bowels at all. They were " loose " after my gallbladder

removal and they are still loose. Such is life. I live with it and don't

worry about it.

Debbie and others,

I checked this person's status and they were moderated as all newcomers to

the list are, so they couldn't post a regular message. This didn't prevent

*any* member, moderated or not, to set up a poll and send a " poll message "

out with it. Learn something new practically every day !

It's not big deal, and I hope they got the information they needed. I did
