Guest guest
Welcome to the group. Indentations are not common, as far as I know. However some kids do get dents - mostly formed in utero if they were squished. The neurosurgeon/doctor usually has to rule out craniosynostosis before banding. Cranio is rare, but does happen. There is a cranio group too at cappskids.org. I am not saying your dent sounds like cranio, because I'm not familiar with cranio head shapes. However it is usually the only thing to worry about besides brachy or plagio. Plagio is very common with tort, so since he has tort, it may very well just be plagio. Please let us know how your neuro appointment goes. -christine sydney, 4 yrs, starband grad > > My son is 5 months old and has torticollis and plagiocephaly. We've been waiting until our neurosurgeon appt next week but there's a pretty obvious indentation in the back of his head, in the flat spot, that I'm concerned is more than just the plagio or brachy. Any other experiences with this or advice? >
