Guest guest
I have been using a liquid iodine supplement, low-dose (1 drop per week) for about 4 months. I do think it is helping, as my low body temperature has gone up a few tenths of a decimal (average from was 97.1, now 97.4; but still averaging 96.3 for basal body temp.) and my digestive motility seems slightly improved. I plan on increasing to 1 drop of liquid iodine twice a week next month. I always have to go slow with supplements… http://www.bodybio.com/storeproduct417.aspx I’ve been using iodized salt and sea salt for years, of course, but the low-dose liquid iodine does seem to be more effective for my body. I know I have hypothyroid issues (part of having PCOS) although the standard thyroid tests I’ve been given don’t indicate any abnormalities. I think my body is producing enough thyroid, just not utilizing it effectively (typical for my body!). I am hoping the extra iodine will help. Iodine is one of the minerals you want only in low doses, small amounts. The recommended dose for the liquid iodine is 1 drop. I would be careful with taking an iodine supplement; might be a good idea to check in with your doctor about it. Kim M.
