Guest guest
Hi guys...i have posted a few pics of so you can all see how lovely he is. He has been doing Jujitzu (not sure how to spell it) for over a year and loves it. He is now a red belt working towards his yellow and is a real toughie. Football, rugby, he loves all contact sports. Having read your posts, i realise that we are very lucky with in as much as his RSS is quite mild (if that is how you describe it). We have never had the sort of input that alot of you talk about. s RSS was only noticed at 6-9 months ish and only because he had one leg slightly longer than the other. His low weight gain was put down to my poor breast milk and i was encouraged to bottle feed, which was obviously not the best idea. He had an undesended testicle which was removed when he was 14 months old. We had input from Prof Fleming of the Bristol childrens hosp, who originally diagnosed , but he discharged us a couple of years ago as was doing so well. is on the 9th centile for height, but lower for weight. He has never had growth hormone, Speech therapy, or occupational therapy. But has had many useless dietician appointments and some input from Orthotics who built up the sole of his shoe when he was younger (no longer needed). The only regular input we have now is with the hearing dept with regards to his glue ear. s school is great, they have always been really supportive and do not treat any differently to any of the other boys or girls. s friends just see him as a boy who really likes bananas. He is fit, healthy and happy. I am starting to realize that our overall knowledge of RSS is quite poor. Really we just see as a fussy eater. I am finding this site a real eye opener, so keep up the good work. I will let you know if i have any joy in the food dept. Thanks. Liz. xxx
