Guest guest
I'm bragging now. Today is my 3rd surgery anniversary! Upper/lower/genio for overbite/overjet and retrognathic lower jaw (genio because I had a " strong chin " according to my surgeon, which would have gotten stronger with the other surgeries). My surgery story is posted on the geocities site at http://www.geocities.com/orthognathicinfo/ and my photos are posted on site 2 at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/orthognathicsurgerysite2/ in folder Fiddlesticks (you have to join to see photos). I did the surgery at almost 47 years of age for functional reasons, and I'm delighted with the outcome. I had a really easy recovery. The resident surgeon at the hospital said it was the fastest recovery he'd ever seen for that type of surgery. Some of the things I did in order to prepare/recovery included surgery support tapes, extra doses of vitamin C pre-op, Floradix liquid iron supplement (before & after), cranial-sacral therapy, yoga, homeopathy and MLD therapy (manual lymph drainage). Most of this is discussed on the geocities site. Good luck to everyone contemplating/preparing for/recovering from their surgeries!
