Guest guest
I have a question since we've been mentioning Iron lately. A member of my support group is just recently having problems with her iron and is scrambling. She's been trying to deal with her weight loss surgeon, who has thrown up his hands (after the Feosol didn't work -- I know -- like, why would it?) and told her to see her PCP. I mentioned to her that she should be taking either Ferrous Fumerate or Carbonyl iron. She's asked about the Fumerate: is it prescription only or OTC? I know that Carbonyl can be bought OTC. She's also asked about ballpark figures for dosages. Can any of you help? I've encouraged her to be part of the graduate list (she's a couple of years out, lost 285 pounds -- I'm so DAMN proud of her!) but she's hesitant of the mail volume.
