Antibiotics help me reset my system... Strong..yes..but effective. The mixture of flagyl and cipro have worked the best for me.

as long as I re-hydrate how long to I wait before taking something major to stop it - started s boullardi last night if no good asking doc if pepto or act char are ok - but how do people know if they need steroids or antibiotics ???thankseileen

Eileen,

I guess you need to know the origin of the D. Steroids will do no good- or

worse- if it is an infection. If it is an autoimmune inflammatory process-like

IBD- then steroids may help.

I guess the first step is to figure out what the cause of the D is, if possible.

i'm almost 100% sure it's from the new enzymes in my hcl - forgot all new things

should be added slowly (duh!!!) and was excited to get on hcl - so i did 3 a day

for 4 days as BM's got looser - then D since except for the one solid BM last

thursday- that I still don't know where that came from or where it went :-(

so what would help if it's from enzymes?
