Guest guest
PJ, I hadn't heard of this w/ other fingers but I've had it w/ the pointer finger or big toe. Classical " gout " symptom, for many years it's also been acknowledged to be a candida die-off symptom. Various of us around here have talked about its relationship w/ oxalates. Artful Carol Former me: From babyhood - CFS, Depression, Candida, Severe Chemical, Inhalant, and Food Allergies. Current me: Global Carb and Fungal Problems well-controlled past 30 yr. by extremely low-carb, no dairy, no grains allergy/anti-yeast diet, SCD 01/05. After 35 yrs. no need for allergy shots since SCD! Magnesium/Vits A, B, D, E/Evening Primrose, Fish, Olive, and Other Oils, Lecithin. 2 grown kids recovered from serious developmental problems which I believe were fungally-caused. >Now one joint on my left ring finger is a little swollen. It is a bit stiff and sore in the morning, but not really painful. What bugs me the most is that I can't get my wedding ring on. I can force it on, but it hurts to do this.> PJ
Guest guest
I think I may have gotten some candida overgrowth from the stress this summer, eating on the run, and not taking my vitamins as religiously as I had before. This would explain a lot. I have gone back to easy to digest foods, no fruits/carbs, broths, lots of yogurt and coconut oil with some improvement so far... This summer I relied on lots of fruit, lara bars, as I was traveling a lot, and I think I overdid it. Thanks, PJ > >Now one joint on my left ring finger is a little swollen. Guest guest
I've had this problem all summer too. The joint in my left index finger is sore. Initially, it was so bad that washing my hands caused pain (I guess the joint was making contact with the finger next to it). Now it just hurts if I bend it too far. I can bend about halfway with no pain, but more then that and YOWSER! It's really put a crimp in my career as a fake guitar player ;-) (no Rock Band or Guitar Hero this summer). I've been eating fine, and take LDN, so that's not the problem. I need to look into gout. Time to buy some cherries! Holly Crohn's SCD 12/01/08 > > Hi all, I've been doing great on SCD. I had a pretty rough summer. I was on the road a lot and my Dad died- talk about stress. I stayed legal but did not really eat well for some of the time- just grabbing something here and there, and forgot to take the LDN a few times. > > Thankfully the GI system did not really act up, and I was concerned about the level of stress. Naturally it is best to get back to regular meals/ LDN and some normality, but what are good natural (or legal supplement) approaches to this? > > Thankfully being on SCD was probably the most helpful to get me through this time. > > Thanks, > PJ >
Guest guest
My kids love Rock Band.I hope your finger gets better. Thankfully mine is not painful- a little stiff and sore in the morning. It's just swollen enough that I can't get my wedding ring on- which makes me sad. I am going back to being more vigilant with my cooking, vitamins, and LDN. Hopefully that will help. PJ > > > > Hi all, I've been doing great on SCD. I had a pretty rough summer.
