Guest guest
Gene, I'm going to opine based on what I've read. You did ask for different views. I recommend that you do not have this surgery. Based on your comments, you're too immature to go through the long road this surgery entails. You do not respect or understand all of the advice the women on this board have given you. They have all been very clear. Connie made a good point. Some of the members have even done research on your behalf. You have received enough information from those with orthognathic surgical experience to make an educated decision. It is no surprise that the majority of people that have had successful surgeries do not come back after a year or two post-op. Two of the women that have, and Cammie, are involved on a daily basis. Priorities (career, dating etc.) need to be in order before making decisions. You have to be willing to make minor sacrifices in order to endure the journey. Ambition is healthy, but if your expectations are too high, you'll only be disappointed.
