Just a warm " hello " to all of you. New Years resolutions are coming

soon and " for once in my lifetime " I don't have to list " giving up

sugary crap & lose weight " as one of them!!!!!!!! I am so

grateful !!!!

I've had a wonderful holiday time with my relatives. My sister had

bypass surgery 3 wks ago and is doing well. I have 2 morbidly obese

nieces that are following in my past footsteps of health problems

and poor esteem related to obesity. My heart goes out to them. One

is only 17 yrs. old. It breaks my heart to see her suffer in this

horrible " PRISON " of obesity. Maybe some year she'll have the

surgery too. She's just too emotionally immature for me to

recommend it at this point.

I am so grateful to not have gained weight over the holidays. Also,

to NOT have had " an umbilical cord " attached to the " FOOD table " at

the get-togethers that I've attended during this time. I've been

able to socialize instead of bingeing on the food. Pre bypass

surgery I'd feel embarrassed at eating so much in front of others

yet be unable to control myself. Thankfully, now, my body won't let

me consume mass quantities of food all at once. It's a wonderful

tool to have a smaller stomach!

Hugs to you all, Suzanne from San Diego
