Guest guest
I peel the butternut squash with a veg peeler. Then slice in half, scoop out seeds. Cut into 1 in cubes. Toss in olive oil, garlic, salt. Bake at 400 for 45 min to an hour, turning once. Imagine you could do butter and cinnamon instead if you wish. OR if I want it pureed, I don't peel it, just cut in half and take out seeds. Then put about an inch of water in a bit casserole pan, put both halves of squash face down and bake at 400 for an hour. Then scoop it out, puree, add butter and cinnamon, maybe honey. So many good squashes right now! I have been having fun experimenting with new-to-me squashes at my house.Best wishes, KelleyCeliac 4/10SCD 5/10 I need step by step instuctions of how to fix this stuff.. I did not know what squash looked like before I started SCD... I did purchase one and tried to cut it into thin slices and bake it on my stone.. But they were not cut even so they did not cook even.. There was no way to get 'Crisp " it was soft or burnt..LOL I want to try baked with cinnioman. Do I just cut it in half? Do I scoop out the seeds first? What temp? How long? put butter and cin on at the begining or later.?. Does it need to be in water? I have not idea how to fix this stuff but like the flavor I got when I cooked/burnt the first one.. Also, Does anyone know about Pau D' Arco Extract?... I am told it is a extract from the bark of a tree.. Instructions say to put 2 drops in water and drink 3 times a day for Intestinal Health. Ingredients: Distilled Water, Vegetable Glycerin and Grain Alcohol Contains no sugar, salt, starch, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, soy, milk, egg, shellfish, or perservatives.. Thanks So much -- Kelley

Pau d'arco is not SCD legal. Pau 'Arco Illegal Bark tea (Pau d'Arco) contains steroidal saponins and is both an immune booster and a laxative. http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/legal/legal_illegal_o-s.htm — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
I divide them in to, take out the seeds. PLace them on a baking sheet and bake them at 400F for 1,5 hours. I don't tolerate them if I don't bake them so long. karianne > > > > > > > I need step by step instuctions of how to fix this stuff..
