Guest guest
--- hi brenda I have sleep apnea and I am 53. I am having surgery on the 29th to advance my lower and upper jaw to open my airway more as I have small lower jaw apparantly this is quite successful. I tried CPAP machine but could not cope with this. I have tried a splint on my braces to keep lower jaw forward at night and have been able to breath better with that but jaw advancement seems the best option for me. I do not know what surgery you are having so I dont know if you or your mother have a similar problem. I dont know if this is of any help to you. Good luck anyway I hope everything goes well for you. regards Jeannie In orthognathicsurgerysupport , <brendergrrl@g...> wrote: > > Does anyone have aleep apnea? > > My mom has it, and cannot use the CPAP machine because the pressure on her > palate would be too much..... Guest guest
There have been a number of people on these sites who have had surgery for sleep apnea, and I think they were all successful - no more CPAP machines. > > Does anyone have aleep apnea? > > My mom has it, and cannot use the CPAP machine because the pressure on her > palate would be too much.....
